Incentive to Buy a New Camera

Today my trusty Pentax went into spasm,
locked the shutter tight shut and decided
to have a major sulk.

There is no better moment to go buy new.

Digital here I come.

I hear you - but you might just take it in to be serviced, as it's probably just a matter of cleaning out some grit (don't know where it comes from).

Will you stick with Pentax, then?

Shall work on that, Davimack.

My Canon & its lens also had some issues a while back - $300 US later & the lens has been serviced & cleaned, as has the camera body. MUCH cheaper than buying a new ... although I'm still with film, rather than having switched.

It's worth having a camera cleaned.
There are plenty of websites with advice on how to DIY. Obviously it's important to be careful with such delicate equipment.
