Green Light in Garden, Ferns Unfold

Fern Unfurls

A tripod helped ensure that the Sigma 70-300 apo macro was steady
as a rock for this photo.

Templates and Smileys

When blogging, it's worth looking at what other people see on your blog.

I have a Wordpress Blog that, seemingly, shows a Smiley Face for some viewers.

There's a link in the Title Bar here on how to banish this.

To Recapitulate...

... as my teachers used say...

The Summer is the best time for photographers, as the light is on our side.
There was a time during the long Winter and Spring where the colours in some of my photos seemed to reflect the fact that it was really cold outside. That was when taking shots of food and brightly coloured pot plants seemed to keep me going.

Some lively minded posters to Boards.ie took time to reply to a thread on the subject of favourite colours.

Please hit the Title Bar and be prepared to find some very good photographic work.
Boy, do some of the Boarders have some really sharp lenses...

It Doesn't Always Have to Look Realistic, You Know...

Summer struck the garden a glancing blow this week.
Everything has flowered, become covered with insect life,
got into a tizzy.

This little bee just couldn't stay still...

Under the Bridges of York...

Skeldergate Bridge, York

The boat trip on the River Ouse in York is
worth taking, if you enjoy a different photographic angle.

The title bar leads to a page describing the nine bridges within the city.
This is a section of Skeldergate Bridge, elegant and prettily decorated.

It was built in 1881.
