I still remember how puzzled I was by polaroid effects when colour became possible for amateurs in the 1960's. There was a bleached, unreal tint to family shots and I was much pleased to discover slide film at the end of the decade.
This offers a nod to Faux Cross Processing, but is too sharp to take the viewer in,
I think.

Yep: feels like a modern picture, somehow, rather than a polaroid. Could you pop a faux-polaroid frame around it, maybe? See how it looks, then, and whether it tricks the brain into thinking, "wow, what a neat old picture!"

I have to admit I find polaroid effects a bit chilly and the frames seem very dated now, so I'll just stick to trying out newer styles for the time being.
It's a good exercise, however, and the Flickr poster who generously shared the frame has very good photos. Worth viewing.
