Is Film on the Way Out?

There's a whole Flickr group dedicated to shooting film, though - Flickr Analog, it's called.

There are reasons why film will not die quite yet, not least of which is for wedding photography. The dynamic range possible with film is so much higher than digital that wedding photographs are still typically shot with film. Anything else high-contrast will also be done that way, if you want it to turn out as well as possible.

But ... it costs a fortune to develop, at least here in the UK. So ... I've quit shooting with it.
